Project: Building and governing Systal’s global brand
Client: Systal Technology Solutions
‍
Role: Global Head of Creative and Marketing ( promoted from Global Head of Design )
‍
Scope:
Brand strategy · positioning · identity system · brand governance· creative direction, across 93 countries
The Challenge
Systal operated across 93 countries with no shared brand. No agreed positioning, no identity system, no common language for what the business did.

Every region, department and proposition described Systal differently, and the brand diluted a little more with each one. The task wasn’t a logo refresh. It was to build an entire brand function from nothing, and the system to hold it together, consistently, at global scale.
Strategy & Positioning
Before a single pixel, the positioning. Built with the C-suite and tested against the market.
The Strategy
Working with the C-suite, technical leadership and a strategic agency partner, I built Systal’s brand strategy and narrative from the ground up: the positioning, the single-brand model, and the “Your Now Partner” platform that the whole business now uses to describe itself. The thinking behind it:

A single-brand model, so every proposition draws strength from the parent brand rather than fragmenting it.

A positioning built on a real market gap, the partner who enables transformation, without forcing it, who solves today so tomorrow becomes possible.

A narrative and tone of voice that gave global teams one consistent way to show up     across every touchpointT his wasn’t a tagline. It was the operating framework for how a global business communicates.
The System
Strategy only holds if the system behind it does. I built the brand governance that letsa 93-country business stay coherent:

A complete brand identity system: logo architecture, a production-grade colour system (Pantone, CMYK, RGB), and a full typographic hierarchy.

‍Brand guidelines and governance: clear do’s and don’ts, usage rules, and the sub-brand architecture that keeps every proposition unmistakably Systal.

The templates and standards that let global teams produce on-brand work without  routing everything through the centre.
Identity System
A system built to hold, not a logo built to admire.
Governance
A brand only stays consistent if the system makes it easy to.
The System in use
The system, applied across every touchpoint.
The Outcome
The brand became how every department describes what Systal does - one identity, one language, across EMEA, APAC and AMER. And it was validated externally, not self-declared. Systal entered the Gartner Magic Quadrant from absent and rose every year to Leader, rated furthest of any provider for Completeness of Vision (Gartner’s measure of positioning and market narrative).

The brand strategy didn’t just look consistent. It was independently scored top of the field for vision.Strategy only holds if the system behind it does. I built the brand governance that lets a 93-country business stay coherent:
